How to use the yes or no wheel
- 1Think of a question that can be answered with yes or no.
- 2Press SPIN and wait for the pointer to land on an answer.
- 3Want a third option? Choose Yes / No / Maybe in the Yes / No tab.
- 4Check the score to see how many times each answer has come up.
- 5Clear the score at any time from the Results tab.
Quick answers when you can't decide
Some decisions don't deserve ten minutes of thinking. Should you take the bus or walk? Watch one more episode? Text them back now? Spin the yes or no wheel and you have an answer in seconds.
Many people find that the moment the wheel lands, they notice how they really feel about it. If you're secretly hoping for the other answer, that tells you something too.
Ideas for the yes or no wheel
- Settle friendly arguments and "should we?" moments at home.
- Add excitement to classroom true-or-false quizzes.
- Use it as a game: answer whatever question the wheel says yes to.
- Decide on small treats, like dessert or a day off from the gym.
Yes, no or maybe?
The classic two-slice wheel gives a straight answer with an even 50/50 chance. Adding a Maybe slice changes the odds to one in three for each answer, and adds a little drama: a maybe means "ask again later" or "your call". Some people use it as a tie-breaker, spinning again whenever the wheel lands on maybe.
Choosing between more than two options? Put them all on the main wheel of names, or let the food wheel settle what's for dinner.
Frequently asked questions
Is a yes or no wheel the same as flipping a coin?
With two equal slices, yes: each answer has exactly a 50% chance, like a fair coin. The wheel is easier to watch with friends, and you can add Maybe or make one answer more likely, which a coin can't do.
Can I make Yes more likely than No?
Yes. Open Slice sizes in the Entries tab and give Yes a bigger size. A Yes of size 2 and a No of size 1 makes Yes twice as likely.
What kind of questions can I ask?
Any question with a yes or no answer: Should I order pizza tonight? Should we go to the park? Do I wear the red shirt? It's for fun and small decisions, not for serious life choices.
Can I change Yes and No to other words?
Yes. Edit the entries to anything you like, such as Go and Stay, Do it and Skip it, or Heads and Tails. The score keeps counting Yes, No and Maybe results.
